Key Considerations for Blade Angle & Usage:

- Initial Cut: Use a 45 degree downward angle to set the blade properly into the soil.
- Operating Angle: For efficient cutting, keep the blade largely parallel to the surface to maintain consistent depth and reduce resistance.
- Optimal Conditions: To make the cutting angle more effective, ensure the soil is slightly moist but not overly wet.
- Depth Setting: The angle works best with a depth set between 1.5 and 3 inches, allowing the blade to cut the root layer without digging too deep.

Blade Maintenance: 
Please notify staff if maintenance is needed. DO NOT ATTEMPT IF YOU ARE NOT EXPERIENCED SHARPENING TOOLS. DO NOT USE AN ANGLE GRINDER OR OTHER POWER TOOLS ON THE BLADE. If blade damaged, you will be charged a repair or replacement fee.
Using a metal file to restore the blade beveled side. Secure the tool, file in one direction, remove burrs, and sharpen until the metal is shiny but not too sharp.
